On February 23, 2017, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, NEMO Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Canton Police Department conducted a search warrant at 702 Nesmith Street in Canton, Missouri. Subsequent to this investigation and warrant, several Lewis County residents were taken into custody. Those arrested included Kristy R. Wear, age 30, of the residence, on one count of possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine (a class D felony) and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia (a class A misdemeanor), Elmer Ott, age 59, of the residence, on one count of stealing a controlled substance, namely Oxycodone, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance, namely Oxycodone (each count is a class D felony), and Eric D. Kirtlink, age 37, of 404 S. 3rd Street, La Grange, Missouri on one count of possession of a controlled substance, namely Hydrocodone (a class D felony), one count unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (a class A misdemeanor) and one count of possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid (a class D misdemeanor).
Bradley L. Farr, age 29, of Canton, Missouri, was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released at the scene with a March, 2017 court date.
Also, as part of this investigation, a Lewis County Deputy executed a traffic stop on Erron E. Ott, age 36 of 815 Hampton Lane, Canton, Missouri for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, Mr. Ott was found in possession of a controlled substance, namely Adderall, a prescription medication that was not prescribed to him. Mr. Ott was formally charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony. He remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
K. Wear remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond. Elmer Ott remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond. E. Kirtlink remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond. Erron Ott remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
