On June 30, 2016 the Sheriff's Office hosted bank safety training for all local bank branches in Lewis County at Culver Stockton College.  Special Agent Keith Kohne, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, presented information regarding bank robberies and advised both law enforcement and bank employees of the best ways to respond these types of the events.  Bank employees from the Bank of Monticello, Town and County Bank Midwest, Town and County Bank, United State Bank, Canton State Bank and the People's Bank of Wyaconda were in attendance.  Special thanks go out to the bank employees for attending and also to Culver Stockton College for hosting the event.
