Felony Arrest and Stolen Vehicle Recovery:

On June 28, 2024, a deputy patrolling the Deer Ridge Conservation area made contact with Robert Duane Terry, Jr, age 40, of New Castle, Indiana.  Upon further investigation, Deputy Jason Slater discovered Mr. Terry was wanted for Violation of Probation out of Noble County, IN for the class 5 Felony of Theft.  He also discovered Mr. Terry was in possession of a stolen vehicle.  The vehicle was towed by Roberts Garage.

Mr. Terry was taken into custody without incident and remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail pending extradition.  On July 3, 2024, he was formally charged in Lewis County with one count of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle-1st Degree, a class D felony, with no bond authorized.
