Domestic Disturbance Leads to Arrest

On May 14th, 2024 members of the Lewis County Sheriff's office responded to a 911 call in Ewing, Missouri.  The female victim reported she had been assaulted by her male boyfriend and he had fled the scene.  The deputies responded to the residence and made contact with the victim.  The suspect, identified as Austin Davis, was then observed driving through Ewing and leaving the area.  The victim reported the suspect was armed and dangerous and had stated the cops were going to have to shoot him.   A deputy located Mr. Davis traveling west of Ewing, on State Highway 6, and apprehended Mr. Davis without incident.  Mr. Davis was then lodged in the Lewis County jail.

Mr. Davis, age 22, of Ewing, Missouri was formally charged with assault in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor, by Lewis County Prosecutor Chelsea Fellinger.  Associate Court Judge Corey Moon issued a warrant for Mr. Davis and he remains lodged in the Lewis County jail in lieu of $2500.00 cash only bond.
