On April 8th, 2024, Nicole L Bresnahan, age 40, of Quincy, Illinois was arrested on 3 counts of Forgery, all class D Felonies.  Ms. Bresnahan was extradited from the state of Illinois after being taken into custody on the Lewis County warrant.

This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office that began in September, 2023.  Ms. Bresnahan is alleged to have opened accounts at the United State Bank in Canton, Missouri using fictitious checks.  She then made cash withdrawals before the checks were returned.

Ms. Bresnahan was released after posting $5,000 cash bond.
