Deputies working the St. Patrick's weekend overtime project yielded results. The traffic enforcement resulted in several drug arrests.
On March 18, 2016 Brody A. Cuculich, age 21, of Kirksville, Missouri was arrested for careless and imprudent driving, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Cuculich was observed driving wrecklessly and after being stopped the alert deputy located marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Mr. Cuculich was released pending a court appearance on April 4, 2016.
On March 20, 2016 Derrick E. Turner, age 41, of Lewistown, Missouri was arrested for DWI, third offense, a class D felony. Turner was pulled over by a Lewis County Deputy in Lewistown the night of March 20, 2016. Turner was released after posting a $10,000.00 bond.
A passenger in the Turner vehicle was also arrested after being found in possession of illegal drugs. April E. Pearce, age 52, of Lewistown, Missouri was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia and controlled substance. Ms. Pearce was in possession of prescription medications of another person. She was released after posting a $10,000.00 bond.
Deputies worked several hours trying to keep the roadways safe.
