On April 11, 2023, a Lewis County Sheriff's Office deputy conducted a traffic stop near Wakonda State Park.  Upon contact, the driver was identified as Herman Boyer, age 54, of La Grange, Missouri.  Mr. Boyer was placed under arrest on an outstanding felony warrant for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class D felony.  The warrant was issued due to an investigation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Gaming Division.

Mr. Boyer remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
