On March 10, 2016 members of the Sheriff's Office and the Canton Police Department investigated the OC's Bar in Canton, Missouri for selling intoxicating beverages without proper licensure.  The Sheriff's Office had learned the establishment had failed to obtain a proper license from Lewis County for sale of alcohol and had also failed to pay his sales tax to the state of Missouri either.   The establishment was closed for 24 hours by law enforcement on this date.   

On March 11, 2016, the bar owner, Charles Hull, age 39, of Quincy, Illinois was arrested on one count of sale of intoxicating beverage without proper license, a misdemeanor.  He was released pending an April 18th court date.
