On June 3, 2022, a Lewis County deputy responded to Ewing, Missouri after an animal complaint call was received regarding a dog trying to bite children at the ball park.  The deputy canvassed the area in search of the dog's owner who was located at a residence on State Highway 156.  When the deputy asked the owner for identification, he stated it was inside and took the deputy inside the residence.  Upon entering the residence, the deputy was  able to see drug paraphernalia and drugs in plain view.

Mr. Nicholas W. Nunnenkamp, age 37, and another adult in the residence, Michelle R. McAdams, age 43, both of Ewing, Missouri were placed under arrest and held on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

A search warrant was sought through Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Chelsea Fellinger.  She forwarded the request to Judge Corey Moon who authorized the search warrant.  During the search of the residence, numerous items of drug paraphernalia were found along with methamphetamine.

On June 4, 2022, Mr. Nunnenkamp was formally charged with one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, namely Methamphetamine, a class D felony.  He remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
