On October 25, 2021, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office received a report of a domestic disturbance in progress in rural La Belle, Missouri.  Upon arrival, the Lewis County deputy encountered Luke  J. Mullikin, age 35, and Sara J. Mullikin, age 36, who had been involved in a physical altercation. 

Following an investigation, Luke Mullikin was taken into custody and lodged in the Lewis County Jail on a 24 hour hold.  He was subsequently charged with domestic assault -4th degree, a class A misdemeanor. 

As of this release, Mr. Mullikin has posted bond and been released from the Lewis County Jail.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
