On October 10, 2021, the Lewis County sheriff's Office received a call of a burglary in progress in Durham. Upon arrival, the deputy was informed of items left in the shed that did not belong to the owners. It was determined Michael R Johnson, age 57, of Durham, Missouri had trespassed in the shed and left the items. Contact was made with Mr. Johnson at his residence. He was found to be in possession of controlled substances, namely prescription pain pills.
On October 12, 2021, Mr. Johnson turned himself in to the Sheriff's Office and was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, namely prescription pain pills, a class D felony. There was a $7,500 cash only bond, with 10% allowed. He posted bond and was released.
