On August 22, 2021, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office arrested Michael R. Henson, age 57, of 614 Nesmith Street, Canton, Missouri for possession of methamphetamine. Deputies were conducting a bond check on Mr. Henson as he had previously been arrested on August 2, 2021 for possession of methamphetamine by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance on August 10, 2021 and when released by the court, he was required to be on house arrest in Canton. Henson was found in violation of this bond condition and was also found in possession of a controlled substance once again.
Mr. Henson was formerly charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, a class D felony and was also charged with failure to obey a Judge's order, a class D felony.
He remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
