On October 14, 2020, Robert M. Dillon III, age 38, of Hannibal, Missouri surrendered himself to Lewis County Sheriff's Office to be formally arrested.  Mr. Dillon, a former American Family Insurance Agent in Canton, Missouri, is alleged to have misappropriated funds.  Specifically, Mr. Dillon failed to forward premium payments to the company after accepting payments from local customers.  Mr. Dillon is formally charged with six counts of stealing, each a class D felony.  These charges stem from incidents that occurred in 2017. 

Mr. Dillon was released after posting a cash bond.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigations in this matter.
