On April 11, 2020, deputies were called to La Belle, Missouri in reference to an incident which occurred near Casey's General Store.  Upon investigation, deputies learned that Clayton A. Wainwright, age 44, of La Belle, Missouri, had confronted a male and female.  The female victim reported Wainwright threatened to shoot her.

Based on the circumstances, Wainwright was arrested on two counts of peace disturbance and was lodged in the Lewis County Jail.

On April 12, 2020, Wainwright posted $500 cash, which was 10% of the $5000 bond.  Wainwright is currently under the supervision of the Missouri Department of Corrections probation office.  He is on probation for possession of a controlled substance.
