On February 25, 2020, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office arrested Clinton R. Dopheide, age 44, of Williamstown, Missouri on a Lewis County Failure to Appear warrant for one count of peace disturbance - 1st offense, a class B misdemeanor, one count of assault - 4th degree, a class C misdemeanor and one count of leaving the scene of an accident, a class A misdemeanor.
Mr. Dopheide failed to appear in the Circuit Court of Lewis County after being sentenced to the Lewis County Jail for 180 days which was suspended and he was placed on 2 years supervised probation. Mr. Dopheide had previously plead guilty to the above charges in October of 2019.
Since being released on probation Mr. Dopheide has been arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Speeding 20-25 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, and failure to register a motor vehicle in Clark County, Missouri and failing to register a motor vehicle 1st and 2nd offense in Adams County, Illinois.
Mr. Dopheide remains in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $1000 cash only bond.
