National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

I would like to thank all members of my office for all they do for the citizens of Lewis County. As your sheriff, I ask them to do a lot for our citizens, many times without giving them their proper due. These wonderful people dedicate themselves to protecting you and your family from those that choose to hurt us. The deputies patrol the roads, investigate crime, and work in our schools. The jail staff manage inmates, monitor their addiction and mental health issues. The cook staff makes sure the inmates are taken care of and the office administrator ensures that our financial records are in order and monitor the sex offenders throughout the county.
