Dog Thefts

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office is investigating two thefts involving canines.  Approximately two weeks ago two Beagle mix dogs were taken from a residence in Monticello, Missouri.  The animals were recovered in La Belle, Missouri two days later.

On June 23rd, a Golden Retriever was stolen from a residence in Lewistown, Missouri.  The Golden Retriever, named Gunner, is 3 years of age.(See attached picture)  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office.
