On February 3, 2019, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office arrested Amanda M. Blake, age 35, of Kirksville, Missouri and Christopher Lake, age 34, of La Plata, Missouri.  Officers were checking on a stranded motorist near State Highway 6 and Evergreen east of Lewistown.  They then discovered Blake & Lake to be in possession of a controlled substance.  Miss Blake and Mr. Lake were both charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, a class D felony.

Both remain lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash only bond each.
