On January 9, 2019 a member of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office was serving an arrest warrant to Jeffrey A. Bruhl, age 38, of Ewing, Missouri on one count of failure to pay child support.   While communicating with Mr. Bruhl about the warrant he resisted arrest and attempted to run from the deputy. 

The deputy chased Bruhl into a field north of Clow Street, near Ewing, Missouri until he was apprehended. 

Bruhl remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail on one count of failure to pay child support, a class E felony, as well as resisting arrest by fleeing, also a class E felony.
