On January 8th, 2019 members of the Sheriff's Office arrested David Kenny, age 71, of La Belle, Missouri for theft of livestock, a class C felony.

In December 2017, Sharpe Land and Cattle, of rural La Belle, Missouri reported three black Angus cows and four black Angus calves had stolen from a pasture in rural Lewis County.  Law enforcement discovered Mr. Kenny had picked up the cattle without permission and transported them to an undisclosed location.

Mr. Kenny was released on January 9, 2019 after posting bond.

His next court appearance is scheduled for January 22nd, 2019.
