On December 28, 2018, Eric T. Smith, age 35, of Ewing, Missouri was taken into custody on two counts of distribution of a controlled substance near a protected location, a class A felony.  Mr. Smith is alleged to have distributed prescription medication to another on two separate occasions in December 2017.

This investigation was conducted by the Sheriff's Office and the NEMO Drug Task Force.

Smith remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash only bond.
