The Sheriff's Office continues to receive reports of vehicle break ins throughout the Durham and Maywood area.  This past weekend at least two unlocked vehicles were entered sometime during the night and the suspect rummaged through the vehicles.  These incidents appear to have occurred after midnight and are related. 

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles in order to prevent the theft of the vehicle and to prevent stealing items out of it.  Do not leave purses, money, valuables or medications inside the vehicle.
