The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating animal neglect involving three black dogs that were dumped near the town of La Belle within the last two weeks.  On October 30, 2017 the Sheriff’s Office was called to La Belle in response to three dogs roaming the area.  The animals were apprehended and taken to an animal rescue.  One the three black lab mix puppies subsequently died from presumed bacterial infection. 

 

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking suspect information regarding the person or persons who dumped the animals.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office or they can make a report anonymously on the Sheriff’s Office website at lewiscosheriff.org.  (Once on the homepage scroll down to crime tip hotline and click.)
