The Lewis County Sheriff's Office is warning residents to be aware of a potential asphalt scam.  The individuals will stop by the resident's home unannounced seeking to put leftover asphalt on the driveway.  At least one Lewis County resident has been successfully scammed.  The asphalt workers have also acted as if they have been doing patchwork for MoDOT.  MoDOT representatives have confirmed they are not affiliated with any of these individuals.
