Vehicle Break Ins

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate vehicle break ins in the Durham and Ewing areas.  Over the past few months, the Sheriff's Office has received over a dozen reports.

In all of these investigations, the consistent similarity is that the vehicles were left unlocked.  Locked vehicles are generally left alone.

The suspects generally look for prescription drugs, small amounts of money and small items of value.

Please lock your vehicles in an attempt to deter criminal behavior.  Don't be an easy target!

Contact the Sheriff's Office if you have information regarding these break ins.
