Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

On May 20th, 2022, a Lewis County deputy was on patrol in the La Belle, Missouri area when he observed a vehicle known to be driven by an individual who does not have a valid driver's license.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, who was identified as Gerald D. Lloyd, age 60, of La Belle,  was subsequently arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold for the charges of no valid operator's license and possession.

Mr. Lloyd was formally charged with one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, namely methamphetamine, a class D felony.  His bond was set at $10,000 cash only.

On May 23rd, 2022, Lewis County Judge, Cory Moon, authorized an O.R. bond and Mr. Lloyd was released from the Lewis County Jail.
