Theft Arrest

On November 5, 2020, John W. Bates III, age 30, of Ursa, Illinois was arrested by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office on an outstanding warrant for one count of stealing a motor vehicle, a class D felony. This arrest stems from an investigation in La Belle, Missouri during August of 2020.
Mr. Bates remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $5000 cash/corporate surety bond.
