Arrest of Jacob Seek for Theft

Monticello, MO - The Lewis County Sheriff's Office announces the arrest of Jacob Seek, age 23, of Licking, Missouri, on charges of stealing. Mr. Seek was taken into custody on August 21, 2024, following an investigation into an incident that occurred in December 2023.  Seek had previously failed to appear for a court hearing and a warrant was issued by Associate Judge Corey Moon. 

Mr. Seek is alleged to have received payment from a Lewis County resident for construction work that was never performed. Instead of completing the agreed-upon work, Mr. Seek is accused of cashing the check in excess of $5,000.00 and failing to provide any services.

Mr. Seek has similar charges pending in Wright County, Missouri. 

Mr. Seek is currently being held at the Lewis County Jail pending further legal proceedings. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
