Public Safety Awareness

Since the end of the school year, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office have seen minors and children operating golf carts, ATVs, scooters and side by sides on city streets throughout the county.  Parents are reminded that this is a violation of Missouri law.  Licensed drivers must be operating these types of vehicles.  Children operating these vehicles pose a danger to themselves and others.  Parents may be held responsible for repeated violations.
