On June 9, 2016, Michael Prisner, age 28, Ewing, MO, pled guilty to charges involving his possession of child pornography between April and June 2015.

Prisner pled guilty to two felony counts of possession of child pornography before United States District Judge Catherine D. Perry, in St. Louis.  Sentencing has been set for September 6, 2016.

Each count of possession of child pornography carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.  In determining the actual sentences, a Judge is required to consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the St. Charles County ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children), the Kirksville Police Department and the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.  Assistant United States Attorney Colleen Lang is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney's Office
