Narcotics Arrest

On July 18, 2022, the Sheriff's Office was called to Subway in Canton for a suspicious person.  A Lewis County Deputy arrived on scene and made contact with the suspect.  The male suspect attempted to provide a false identification but was properly identified as Tyler A. Miller, age 29 , of Saint Louis, Missouri.  Miller was found to have a Saint Charles County warrant and also under the supervision of the Missouri Board of Probation & Parole. 

Miller was found in possession of a controlled substance, namely heroin.  Miller was arrested and transported to the Lewis County Jail.  While being booked, Deputy Battaglia and Jailer Kayden Ott located heroin hidden on Miller's person.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Chelsea Fellinger applied for a warrant with Judge Corey Moon.  Judge Moon issued a warrant for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, a class D felony and one count Delivery or Possession of a Controlled Substance at Jail, a class D felony.

Mr. Miller remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 cash only bond

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Canton Police Department.
