FLEEING/POSSESSION ARREST:

On April 22, 2023, while on routine patrol, a deputy observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on State Highway 16 near the Lewis County Fair Grounds.  The vehicle sped up in an attempt to flee.  After further investigation, the vehicle was located at Dollar General in Lewistown, Missouri.  The driver, Kyle A Donaubauer, age 31, of Kirksville, Missouri was taken into custody for Resisting Arrest by Fleeing, a class E felony and for Possession of Controlled Substance, a class D felony.  During a search of the vehicle, deputies located paraphernalia and methamphetamine. 

Donaubauer, who is already out on bond out of Linn County, Missouri, remains incarcerated in the Lewis County Jail with no bond authorized.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
