Domestic Assault Arrest

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office was called to a domestic assault in progress in La Belle, Missouri.  Upon arrival, deputies found a male who was injured and had been knocked unconscious.  After investigation, Carmen Daiker, age 34, of La Belle was arrested for domestic assault and transported to the Clark County Jail.  The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

On January 15th, Prosecuting Attorney Chelsea Fellinger applied for formal charges in relation to the domestic assault.  The Honorable Judge Corey Moon issued warrants for one count Assault-4th Degree, an A Misdemeanor with a $5000 cash only bond and one count Domestic Assault-3rd Degree, an E felony with a $20,000 cash only bond.

Mrs. Daiker was released on her own recognizance after her arraignment hearing on Tuesday, January 17th.
