Domestic Assault Arrest

On June 8, 2023, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office was called to a domestic disturbance in Taylor, Missouri. After investigation, David J. Smith, age 65, of Taylor, Missouri was arrested on one count of Domestic Assault-3rd Degree, a class E felony.
On June 9, 2023, a formal warrant was sought by Prosecuting Attorney Chelsea Fellinger and then issued by the Honorable Corey Moon.
Mr. Smith was released after posting a $10,000 cash bond.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
