Car Theft Arrest

On December 31, 2018, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office received a report from the Canton Police Department regarding a stolen vehicle from Canton, Missouri.  At approximately 8:00pm, a deputy observed the stolen 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt on State Highway B near La Grange.  The driver attempted to flee and the deputy pursued the vehicle for approximately 12 minutes until the driver jumped out of the vehicle and attempted to run on foot.  The driver was then apprehended by the deputy and taken into custody.

The suspect, Patrick C. Clark, age 24, of Canton, Missouri was charged with one count of stealing a motor vehicle.

He remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash only bond.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by members of the La Grange Police Department, Canton Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
