Assault of Law Enforcement/Resisting Arrest
On July 10, 2020, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office arrested Bobby L Marshall, age 39, of Canton, Missouri on outstanding warrants for one count of peace disturbance, a class B misdemeanor, one count assault-2nd degree of a law enforcement officer, a class B felony and one count of resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony, a class E felony.
Over the past month, the Sheriff's Office had been called to the Westport Apartments located outside of Canton for numerous peace disturbance allegations involving Mr. Marshall. On June 23, 2020, Mr. Marshall created a disturbance and when law enforcement attempted to take him into custody, he fled. Later law enforcement located him at the apartment complex and he attempted to avoid arrest again. At that time, he resisted arrest and assaulted an officer. Mr. Marshall was taken into custody. Formal charges were entered on July 9, 2020, and Mr. Marshall was located by the Canton Police Department on July 10, 2020.
Mr. Marshall remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $26,000 cash only bond.
