Assault Arrest

On October 10, 2020, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office were called to a disturbance at the Caldwell Building located near Canton, Missouri. Upon arrival, deputies learned a male subject had assaulted, or attempted to assault, several people. Lincoln M. Benedict, age 25, of Durham, Missouri was arrested on one count of domestic assault - 2nd degree, a class D felony, and one count of resisting arrest, a class E felony.
Mr. Benedict remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 cash only bond.
