On August 25, 2019 the Lewis County Sheriff's Office arrested Shawn R. Goodwin, age 45, of Ewing, Missouri on one count of domestic assault - 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor. This arrest was the result of a domestic disturbance that led to a manhunt in the rural area near his home. Deputies were able to apprehend Mr. Goodwin in a wooded area. He attempted to elude law enforcement.
Sheriff's Office received assistance from the Western Lewis County Fire Protection District.
Mr. Goodwin was released on August 27, 2019 after appearing before the Associate Court.
