Vehicle Break-in Arrests

On May 28, 2019, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office responded to the Ewing Senior Housing in Ewing, Missouri.  Three male subjects were seen breaking into vehicles in the area.  Witnesses were able to identify the three male subjects.  The Sheriff's Office discovered at least eight vehicles had been entered and items had been stolen.  After further investigation, Caleb K. R. Griffin, age 18,  Christopher M. Shepherd, age 18, both of La Grange, Missouri and Gavin M. Scott, age 18, of Ewing, Missouri were arrested.  All three subjects were formally charged with two counts of stealing and one count of property damage in the 1st degree, all class D felonies along with two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.  The Lewis County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

All three subjects remain lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 cash only bond each.
